Tayrona national park

The Tayrona National Park is one of the most popular and beautiful parks of Colombia. Its beaches are enchanted with high palm trees and huge boulders that were once worshiped by the natives of this naturally beautiful area, after whom the park is named. Yet before we are transfer to Cañaveral (the entrance point of the park) we will hike through Machete Pelao to a magnificent waterfall.

A quality most great natural places seem to have, is that they are not easily accessible. The Tayrona National Park is no exception, so to reach this paradise we must walk from Cañaveral for about 45 minutes to our cabins, which are situated near a beautiful beach. This final hike to paradise will further enhance the theme of this expedition: “it is not about the destination, but the journey”.
